Five ways to use clothes pegs
Clothes pegs come in very handy during gardening and DIY. Here are five different ways you can use them to make your life easier.
1. Hammer helper
Make sure you hit the nail and not your finger by using a clothes peg to hold nails when hammering in those hard-to-reach places.
2. Bag support
Shake open a plastic rubbish bag and spread it wide, then use clothes pegs to clip one side of the bag to a fence or a bush, so it will stay open for easy filling.
3. Light holder
Keep outdoor Christmas lights in place and ready to withstand the elements by securing them to gutters, trees or bushes with clothes pegs.
4. Object clamper
Use clothes pegs as clamps when you’re gluing two thin items together. Allow the pegs to hold them in place until the adhesive dries.
5. Closet sorter
Hold together pairs of children’s shoes, boots, socks and gloves with clothes pegs and put an end to frustrating hunting expeditions in the wardrobe.
