Simple to make, we created this herb garden as a great way to begin teaching kids the basics of gardening during their time off.
Herbs are hardy and easy to care for making it a great starter project for kids to practice planting and caring for the garden with.
Create labels with paddle pop sticks, fill the pot with soil and plant the herbs. We picked up gardening tools designed for small hands and a pair of gloves to protect their fingers but things still ended up a little messy.
Make sure you work on at their height and supervise the whole project. Also ensure they wear the appropriate safety equipment like gloves and enclosed shoes.
